Saturday Fun

Saturday we went to a swim clinic at the YMCA with the girls. Madeline doesn't like the initial getting wet part, but after she gets used the water she loves it. Taylor loves it all right from the beginning. They both love the bath tub and get excited when I start running the water so we knew as long as the water was fairly warm, which is was, they would be fine. They actually did better than I expected, letting us turn them over on the bellies and backs and bounce them around. They even liked to stick their faces in the water and hopefully didn't drink too much :)

The girls are now walking up a storm all over the house. They both easily stand up by themselves and "toddle" around. They have even started to carry things in their hands. Taylor is more steady than Madeline right now, but she is quickly getting there. I keep telling myself this is the age of bumps and bruises and they will be ok. Madeline has already bumped her head into the wall a couple times while playing on the couch and Taylor fell over and scraped the tip of her nose yesterday on the carpet. Luckily all the bumps have only resulted in a minute or so of crying and no serious damage.

Madeline has taken to being difficult on the changing table, wanting to roll over and scream when you change her diaper. I thought maybe if I changed her on the floor that might help, big mistake. On the floor she can easily roll over and crawl away, leaving mommy chasing a bare bum, which she thinks is very funny and she would love to go diaperless.

Stan has been watching the World Cup Soccer lately and is trying to teach the girls to say "Goooaaaallll" like they do on the spanish channel when the score. Taylor seems to be catching on and it is quite funny.

We had some pillows on the floor this weekend and the girls would crawl over, lay their head down and act like they were sleeping. If you made snoring noises they would lay their head down, but if you asked them if they were sleeping they would pop right up. It was quite funny.

We go to the doctor Thursday for their 15 month appointment so I will update on their stats then!
