We made it through the first week

We made it through the first week of work alive, but tired. All the emotions and balancing act of going back to work have definitely hit, but will get better with time. Even though I knew it will happen and I tried to mentally prepare myself, but I think I really didn't understand the feelings I was going to have (of course I didn't know, I have never had kids). Stan said he also missed having us all at home, but I bet it is easier for him to get more work done now :)

Otherwise things are going great. We weighed the girls on our home scale this past Wednesday before their bath and Madeline was 13 lbs 3 oz and Taylor was 12 lbs 5 oz, so they seem to be growing nicely. They also both seem to be adjusting to school very well. I am going to try to say school rather than day care because it mentally makes me feel better :) They are definitely stimulated during the day and it seems to be helping them sleep at night. They are going to bed much faster, in fact tonight they both went down without a whimper and we put them down awake (but drowsy). They still seem to enjoy their rice cereal at night and we may send some to school with them next week to eat in the morning as well.

I still haven't gotten any more pictures taken so here are some pictures from when we were in Texas at the Flying L Ranch in Bandera.

Snoozing away on our way to get the adults some breakfast! Daddy and Madeline.

It sounds like you're doing well despite it being so hard! You guys are troopers! Can't wait to see you and the girls again. James says hello :)
