Pumpkin Picking

On Sunday we went to Hill Ridge Farms with some of our friends and their kids. They have a hayride to the pumpkin patch and lots of other activities for the kids to play. We had a great time despite the cold weather.

Stan and I had checked the weather forecast before we left and it said a high of 56. Which we thought was chilly but not too bad, almost 60. So we headed off to the Farm wearing sweaters. We had dressed the girls in a short sleeve onsies, followed by a long sleeve onsies, a hooded sweatshirt, hat, pants and socks. When we arrived at the farm not only was it only 50 degrees but it was drizzling and windy (luckily the drizzle stopped). Stan and I of course didn't have the proper jackets and we had forgotten the girls blankets to cover them in the stroller. Luckily, I had a bag of clothes and jackets in my car that was headed for goodwill, so we sifted through the bag and not only found jackets for ourselves but also found some nice heavy jackets to put on the girls to keep them warm in the stroller. Ironically, the Monday was a nice warm sunny day, typical...

The girls were wonderful the whole time and really enjoyed being outside and taking in the all the activity that was going on and we got some great pumpkins too! Stay tuned for future blogs with halloween costumes!

Here are the girls, Angela (with #3 on the way), Virginia, Kristen, Heather, Brinley (Angela's daughter) and Caleb (Virginia's son) in front of the hay maze. Also joining us but not pictures were Jay, Wade & Madeline, Brandon & Zachary and Stan & the girls, of course.
Here are Stan and the girls...
