Sunday we took them to church for the first time and they did wonderfully. I really couldn't have asked for better babies. Taylor gave everyone the raspberry for the first 10 minutes, which was great during the silent prayer :) For the most part they sat, looked around, made some little baby noises and took everything in.
The girls are eating up a storm. They now nurse in the morning, eat rice cereal with fruit mixed in at 9am, bottle at 10am, veggie or fruit for lunch, bottle at 2pm and veggie or fruit at 6pm, then nurse after dinner. They eat eat an entire 4oz jar of veggie or fruits and love it! So far we have eaten, applesauce, bananas, pears, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, green beans, squash, and prunes.
The girls can also now hold their bottles and are rolling over! The are pretty good from their belly's to their back but not so good from their back to their belly. We think that is a matter of choice though, since they don't really like to be on their belly. They will roll all the way until they have a little arm to pull out and then flop back. They giggle and talk all the time and they still love to play in their exersaucers.
They have really turned the corner on sleeping too. They go to bed easily with a maximum cry time of 5 minutes, and sometime there is no crying at all. We elevated Taylor's bed since she has had a persistent runny nose and it seems to have worked since neither one of them is waking up in the middle of the night. They go to bed around 7:30pm and get up between 5am and 6am. This past weekend we got very lucky and they slept till 7am, whoohooo!!! Thank goodness they picked the weekend to sleep in, such smart girls!
You can tell we come from a family full of teachers since we have three drawers full of books and some by the rocking chair too! The girls already love to be read to and are starting to want to hold the book and get interested. Here is story time with Daddy tonight. The girls have also started to notice that they have a sister which is just adorable! During meal time, playing and reading they will reach out for each other and smile at each other.
Taylor is on the left and Madeline on the right for those who can't tell them apart.
