First Doctors Visit

We went to the pediatrician today for the first time. By chance, the doctor we saw has identical twin boys (who are in college). It was nice to have a doctor who can speak from experience regarding twins. The doctor said our girls are doing fantastic and got a clean bill of health. He said for preemies born at 32 weeks they are doing wonderfully with no major problems the whole time they were in Special Care and no problems are home so far either.

They eat every 4 hours, eat between 45 - 60 ml at each feeding and are pooping and peeing machines :) As all good babies should be at this point. Today's weigh in Taylor - 4 lbs 5 oz, Madeline 4 lbs 12 oz. So they are above their birth weight! The doctors said according the hospital scale they have probably even gained more as scales can vary 4 or 5 oz. So now we have a baseline reading at the doctors office. We will go back on Friday to get another weight check and then will see them at the 1 month appointment.

All in all, God has blessed us with healthy and happy babies!

Here are our little angels, of course Miss Taylor's feet are in there air as usual, this little one likes to kick around. Now you see why they came early :) She kicked me like that all through pregnancy. She is going somewhere she just doesn't know where yet :)
